a life of design
—
Since her childhood, Erica was influenced by design. Her mother was a do it yourself kind of woman long before it was a buzz word or trend. Erica’s mother Elizabeth was a ceramicist, decorative painter, and garden enthusiast. And her grandmother Alyce made miniature porcelain dolls and painted the landscapes and everyday scenes both locally and abroad. Her other grandmother Vivien was a subscriber of all the magazines you could ever imagine which began Erica’s interest in interior design. But she would make a few more detours before coming back to her first love.
Erica has spent the last decade designing her own homes and businesses which lead to being asked by others. Erica and her husband Hayden had opened two restaurant concepts, a small gourmet foods market and a lodging rental. With a friend, she opened a plant shop. Her instincts for space planning, color selections and layout were used in all of these projects.
Closing the last of her brick and mortar retail concepts has allowed Erica to open herself up for making house calls and being hired to oversee design projects for new and former clients. Erica works with clients to style their spaces for events and everyday living.
